Collections to Visit in 2017

In addition to the cruise, there will be a post cruise visit to collections in Connecticut and New York on October 15, 16 and 17th with two options.

Please contact Karen Davis and/or Patricia Hull if you are interested in staying overnight in Farmington and/or Stamford during this time. You can send a message through the website by clicking on

Option 1:

For those who would like to visit Sandra Bondhus’ fabulous collection in Farmington, CT. you will have an option to disembark from the ship in Boston on Oct 15. Transportation will be arranged from the ship by members of the club for the 2 hour and 15-minute ride to Sandra and Nelson’s home. You can then travel by car the next day and join the others to visit Dan and Karen Davis’ collections in Stamford and Ridgefield, Ct.

Option 2:

Disembark in NYC on Oct 16 and travel 40 miles by van (which takes about an hour) to see the Davis collections, have lunch in a spectacular setting in New Canaan, Ct and stay overnight in Stamford. The next morning, we will visit Anne Spiegel’s beautifully displayed collection in her charming 1920s stone house with lovely grounds and a spectacular rock garden.

If you have not visited this area before, we can arrange for you to visit some of the wonderful places of interest seen during the QCI meeting in White Plains in 2006.

You can travel home from La Guardia, J. F. K or White Plains Airports or take Amtrak which has a stop in Stamford to your destination. The hotel in Stamford has a free shuttle to the train.

Members who do not plan to join us on the cruise are welcome to join us in Farmington and/or Stamford to visit and view these lovely faience collections.
